“Allergy doctors often recommend children’s books to entertain children with allergies…”

Riviera Allergy Medical Center (RAMC), headed by allergy specialist Ulrike Ziegner, MD, PhD, treats children with many different types of allergies and respiratory conditions. Whether they are dealing with childhood allergies, asthma in children, or children with food allergies, the allergy center knows that being sick is difficult for both the child and the rest of the family.

As an allergy doctor who frequently treats children, Dr. Z often recommends children’s books to help parents entertain children with allergies. The child with allergies is sometimes unable to participate in childhood physical activities and needs other forms of entertainment. The family often has other obligations and activities, and appreciates any help the allergy center provides in keeping family life as normal as possible.

This month, the Dr. Ziegner and her staff reviewed several children’s books. She wanted to make sure that any children’s book she recommended was educational, interesting, fun and able to provide the sufficient educational content. The selections were chosen based on creativity, design elements, and story line.

Dr. Ziegner loves to recommend the following children’s book authors to patients: Edelen Wille, Ned Mansour, and Suanne Margaret Hastings. If you are looking for a great way of amusing your child with allergies, consider these titles from the following children’s book authors.

This is an amazing selection. With all the technology now, it pays for parents to invest in books. Not only is reading a good way to pass the time, there are also a lot of learning that kids can get out of this activity. In fact, the most recent brain research reveals that reading to children as early as infanthood (even before they start talking) promotes early intellectual boost and early literacy. With this said, parents should make reading a part of kids’ everyday. And many thanks to Dr. Ziegner and the staff for coming up with this list.
